Pam Gilbert is Named North Dodge Elementary Teacher of the Year

North Dodge is proud to announce Ms. Pam Stapleton Gilbert as their Teacher of the Year.  Ms. Gilbert is a 1985 graduate of Dodge County High School.  She earned her Bachelor of Science Education at the University of Georgia and received a Masters and Specialists Degree at Georgia Southwestern University.  Ms. Gilbert has been in the field of Education for 24 years.  She’s been at North Dodge since 2002. She believes that all students have unique talents and capabilities. “As a teacher, my goal is to educate my students academically, and to help each child discover and develop their talents so that they will grow into happy, successful adults with a lifelong love for learning” she says. Her hobbies include reading, working in the flower beds, cooking, and taking care of her family which includes her four dogs. Pam grew up in Milan and attended Milan Elementary.  She is married to Johnny Gilbert.  They have two children Josh and Misty.  She is a member of Rowland Chapel Church of Nazarene in Chester.  She said “I am humbled and honored to work with an awesome group of teachers at NDES! They are all teachers of the year every year!”  Congratulations to Ms. Gilbert on being named North Dodge Elementary Teacher of the Year!

Support Staff Member

Mr. Johnny Gilbert is Named North Dodge Support Staff of the Year

Mr. Johnny Gilbert was named as the 2014-2015 Support Staff of the Year by North Dodge Elementary School.  Mr. Gilbert began his career at NDES in 2007 as a substitute and then was hired as a paraprofessional in 2008.  Mr. Gilbert is from Chester and is a graduate of Dodge County High School.  He attends Rowland Chapel Church in Chester.  He is married to Pam Gilbert.  They have one son, Josh Gilbert (8th grade at DCMS) and one daughter, Misty Gilbert (RN).  “As a paraprofessional, I enjoy working with students and helping them to do their best in their school work. I believe that all children can learn. I also work to help support the classroom teacher by doing whatever they need me to do to help them as they teach the students.”  His hobbies include doing anything outdoors, working in his yards, and watching dirt track racing.  He enjoys watching NASCAR, the Falcons, and the Braves. We are honored to name Mr. Johnny Gilbert as the Support Staff of the Year by North Dodge Elementary.
